LifeWorks Project Holiday Help 2022

Are you looking for ways to give back to others in our community this holiday season? Sponsor a youth or family through LifeWorks Project Holiday Help. This special program partners LifeWorks clients with community sponsors to help ensure everyone participating has a meaningful holiday experience. You will be matched with a LifeWorks youth (16 – 24 years) or family (your choice) in need and provide them gifts from a wish list of items suggested by the client and case manager.  

We recommend that sponsors spend about $100-$150 per youth and $200-$500 per family (depending on family size). New and gently used items are welcome. Donors are asked to wrap and label each gift and deliver them to LifeWorks in early December. You may select your preferred delivery date from the options provided on the application. 

Don’t delay and submit your Sponsor Application today! Applications will remain open until November 28th or until all clients have been sponsored.

Additional ways to Give Back:

Holiday Gift Card Drive 

Gift cards are an easy way to give back to others in need this holiday season. Just $25 from stores like Walmart, Target or HEB will provide a youth or family much needed food and clothing. If you are planning a holiday party, ask your guests to bring gift cards or to make a donation to LifeWorks instead of bringing gifts. Every little bit helps those in need!

 Backpack/Sleeping Bag Drive 

LifeWorks Street Outreach Program works with homeless youth living on the streets of Austin. During the holidays, we provide them with backpacks, sleeping bags, blankets, clothing, and other supplies to keep them safe and warm. Organizing a backpack/sleeping bag drive is a great group project for a community, school, or organization.

Too Busy to shop?

If you don’t have time to shop, send us your financial contribution and we will do the shopping for you. You may specify how you want your donation to be spent or allow us to use it for those who need it most.
