Project Holiday Help 2022 Recap

The holiday season is upon us. For youth experiencing homelessness or other challenges, the holidays can be a particularly difficult time. That’s why we carry out Project Holiday Help (PHH) every year.

Each December, community sponsors are matched with a LifeWorks youth (between 16-24 years old) or a young family in need. Donors shop for the clients providing them with gifts from their wish lists and brightening their holidays. PHH demonstrates the tenacity and heart of both the community and staff.

The annual event is organized by Special Events Coordinator Maureen Engle, who has the intricacies of planning PHH’s logistics down to a science. Maureen is pure holiday magic making this time of year merry and bright for our donors, staff, and clients.

This year, over 90 sponsors purchased beloved gifts for over 220 youth and families receiving support from LifeWorks. From bikes to strollers, home goods to school supplies, generosity was delivered in all forms and sizes. DPR, VMware, Illuminas, Popp Hutcheson, University Christian Church, Julie Mathis, Eileen & David Lawrence, and Steve Cahall & Jacki Lindig kindly sponsored multiple families this year.

Shoutout to those who were able to donate their time and energy to volunteer as Project Holiday Help runners during the drop-off days.

A special thanks to everyone who donated their resources, time, and efforts to make our clients’ holiday wishes come true.
