LifeWorks proudly teamed up with this year’s Hi, How Are You Project’s Happy Habit-A-Thon. The virtual multi-day event encouraged daily happy habits through a series of healthy, fun, and engaging activities. With participants from over 40 states and 30 countries, the movement furthered the project’s mission to reduce the stigma around mental health, encourage conversation, and connect communities around the world.

This year, the healthy habit LifeWorks championed was to Find Your Purpose.

At LifeWorks, our mission revolves around building resiliency, strengthening mental health, and discovering a sense of self and purpose. Cultivating this purpose is one of the best ways to improve both our mental and physical health. Additionally, purpose offers us tenacity in times of stress, keeping us active and motivated. Lastly, purpose allows us to make mindful decisions daily that lead to life-changing decisions down the road.

To build the habit of purpose, ask yourself this question every single day:

Who do I want to be in life and what actions can I take to become this person?

A question often reserved for children, it’s a question we should all ask ourselves at any age. Questioning our purpose in life sparks imagination and inspires us to develop habits that lead to happiness. The kind of happiness that is rooted in what truly matters to us most. Understandably, that question can feel overwhelming to some. If that’s the case, ask yourself what you can do today that will bring you peace and fulfillment. Then create those daily habits that will achieve your purpose for today.
