LifeWorks has been selected as a recipient of a $300,000 grant from the St. David’s Foundation that will continue to support the agency’s efforts in ending youth homelessness through safe, affordable housing.

As one of 12 non-profit grant recipients for the St. David’s Foundation Health Starts at Home program, the program aims to improve the health and self-sufficiency of affordable housing residents.

LifeWorks plans to work with St. David’s Foundation, the University of Texas at Austin School of Social Work and the University of Texas at Austin Design Institute to provide input on a healthy community prototype, designed with input from LifeWorks clients who have gone through the affordable housing process.
